Frequently asked questions

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Up front flat rates looks good to the customer but an honest hourly rate along with a honest work ethic works out best. Starts with showing up on time.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to talk with them on the phone to get a good feel as to what they need and expect. I’m always up front on what I can do and will say “I’m not the best fit”.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Worked in the construction and maintenance field from high school. Trade Electrician for 20 years. Worked for and with General Contractors 15 years. Worked with painting contractors and cabinet hangers on and off for minny years as well.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Just always had a knack for it. Really started when I was young and started repairing things around the house. Love working with my hands always looking at what needs repairing or could be better.

What types of customers have you worked with?

All from movie stars to the little lady down the street. Easy going to Pains but everyone is my #1 best client

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

Jobs I like are the ones that the customer is really grateful and happy. Just fixing what needs to be done without wasting time or money.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The best is word of mouth. You will get a pretty good feel from past clients as to if I’m good. Honest, on time and happy to help. I hate waiting around for somebody and I’m sure you don’t either.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

What you want to do before even starting. Finger out if you need from tradesmen for your project. If it is going to cover more than a day you probably need a contractor. If is it a bunch of little things that a handyman is best for.

Are you going to supply all the parts, some of the parts, or will they need I need to supply them? Most installs need misalliances parts that may or may not be included with your perches. Talk it through beforehand. If I know what I’m doing I should be prepared with the needed material a good use of the time.
